Rough and soft fabrics

In this activity, students were first asked to predict which fabric will be the smoothest and roughest and then putting the fabric in order from the smoothest to the roughest. They compared the order with their predictions.
Then they were asked to see through the magnifying glass and to make comparison between the fabrics. 

Making predictions and comparing what happened with predictions are important scientific enquiry skills to be developed at this stage.
