Students weighed different things w.r.t beads. They predicted which thing would be lighter and which would be heavier.
Different objects and different amount of beads were used until the students can confidently adjust the number of beads to make the scale balance, demonstrating their understanding.
Then they put the objects in order of their weight- from lightest to heaviest.
