DIVISION AND GROUPING
To give the students the concept of division by grouping, an activity was conducted. They were given a situation in which they have to divide a certain number of counters equally among certain number of people (no. of bowls).

Making arrays
As a part of maths curriculum, students of class 1 represented the multiplication fact into arrays. It is important for the students to visualise the multiplication. The counters helped the students to see that eg. 3x4 is 4 repeated 3 times and vice versa.
