Addition by counting on
The concept of addition by counting on was given to the learners of Pre Primary through coloured blocks. 2 different colour blocks were kept in front of them and they were asked to tell the total. The emphasis was given on counting on. For example- 8 purple block and 6 red blocks were kept. Student will first count 8 purple blocks and then will further count on the next 6 red blocks.
