CAPACITY was introduced in which students were taught that every container has its capacity beyond that we cannot add anything to the container. Examples through beads, pencil box and clay balls were given in which students put the things in their own hands to depict a container and it’s capacity.

Class cafe menu
Students made the class cafe menu in their notebooks. They drew food items along with the cost of it. This menu will be further used in the class cafe activity.

Symmetry
Symmetry concept was given through their immediate environment. Students gave examples such as a window, a cupboard, books, door. The word symmetrical was introduced- two halves of a shape are mirror images of each other (two halves are same). They recognised the line of symmetry in a variety of examples.

Estimation
Estimation concept was given to the students. We kept beads and asked them to guess how many beads does ma’am have in her hand. Students gave different answers. And then they counted the number of beads in the hand by putting the beads on the counting scale given in the learners book.
