CLASS 2 MATHS- Recap test taken. 

Making 3D shapes using nets

 As a part of maths curriculum, students of stage 3 made 3D shapes using nets. By making these shapes they learned the many faces of the shapes. They got to know about the vertices, edges of shapes. 

Sorting stones with water

 As a part of science curriculum, students of stage 2 sorted the stones using water. They got to know that we dig some rocks out of the ground but we also get a lot of rock from rivers. They were given examples on how people have, for a very long time, used water to sort rocks and stone, especially sand and small stones. Some people even use this method to find gold in streams in some places in the world.

CLASS 1 SCIENCE- 'Sorting rocks and stones using water' activity conducted. Page 12-13 Q-1,2 done in workbook. Practice Q-3 on page 14 in workbook. 

CLASS 2 MATHS- 3D shapes using nets were made in class. Questions discussed for the test on monday. Some practice worksheets posted on google classroom. You can practice it for the test.

CLASS 2 MATHS- Activity- Making of 3D shapes using nets was conducted in class. Keep the nets ready as this activity will be continued tomorrow as well. Nets were posted on google classroom.

 PS MATHS- Number 1 concept given through number frame. Number 1 written in notebook. Practice page 30 in book. 

CLASS 1 SCIENCE- Digging up rocks- Page 24-25 discussed. Mines video posted on google classroom. For next class keep soil which have small rocks in it, sieve and water. 

CLASS 2 MATHS- Concepts of 3D shapes given through augmented reality. Faces, vertices discussed. 3D shapes nets posted on google classroom. You can either take print out or draw the same on paper and cut it and keep it for your next class activity.

ROCKS

 As a part of science curriculum, an activity on rocks was conducted with the students of Class 1. The students were asked to look around their house and find different types of rocks. They showed the class all the different types of rocks they found. Some of the rocks that they found was marble, granite, chalk(limestone), gravel, coal, stones etc.

CLASS 2 MATHS- Page 14-15-16 done in workbook. Practive (do you remember part) on page 14 and complete question 4 in workbook. Upload the sample test given on google classroom.

 PS MATHS- Concept of Day and Night given. Live worksheet done in class. Do Page 29 in book. 

CLASS 1 SCIENCE- Rocks activity was conducted in which students showed different types of rocks which they found in their surroundings. Videos posted on google classroom. 

CLASS 2 MATHS- Page 26 2D shapes in our environment discussed. Q-1 done in book. Do Q-2 in notebook.

CLASS 2 MATHS- Q-1(b), Q-2 done in maths book page 25. Symmetry using  mirror discussed. Practice the worksheet posted on google classroom.

 PS MATHS- Shapes scenery was made in class. Practice page 24 in maths book.

CLASS 1 SCIENCE- Page 20 of science learners book discussed. Search for different rocks around your house for activity on friday.

CLASS 2 MATHS- Symmetry activty- Thread painting was done in class. Practice Q-1(a) of page 25 in notebook. 

SYMMETRY

 As a party of maths curriculum, the concept of symmetry was given to students through an activity in which students folded a piece of paper and made various shapes depicting the line of symmetry. 

2D shapes

As a part of maths curriculum, various 2D shapes activities were conducted with the students of pre school. Real life examples were shown to them.
